Just disable all of that.Īgain though, what are your symptoms? Can you even boot into the game?īecause if that is the case then yeah, this fix most likely won't work for you. Id also make sure you don't have any audio enhancements set on your primary audio device turned on. Audio devices themselves and their settings are often overlooked when troubleshooting software issues. The other thing you can try is manually disable any other audio device you're not using. The Sample Rate also caused issues on the OG release of the game. If you can isolate the issue like this on multiple computers that means its effecting the game. I've tested it a few different rigs and have been able manually cause crashing by adjusting the sample rate. The Sample Rate is 100% causing an issue. It's already work for overs, even on console. Just because it work for you doesn't mean it won't fix the issue for people having random crashing. The first game had similar issues, but I don't think it crashed from this as bad, but if you didn't have the windows set to 48000hz, you couldn't select surround sound options, they simply wouldn't save within the options. Some probably have Windows already setup to use a sample rate of 48000hz, while others do not. ![]() This would also explain why the crashing is to wildly inconstant across peoples hardware. The steam reviews of the remastered says that the remastered games are a buggy and crashes frequently. I have the option to buy the Triple pack (includes original 1, 2, Infinite) or the Collection (includes remastered 1, 2 & dlc, Infinite & season pass) for about the same price. I've been able to reproduce the crashing by adjusting the sample rate to be 44100hz and the game is totally unplayable, crashes ether instantly, or within a couple minutes. SIB the original BioShock or the remastered : r/ShouldIbuythisgame. Under Default Format, you must select a sample rate of 48000hz Select it and go into "Proprieties" and go within the "Advanced Tab". Go within the "Playback" tab and find your primary audio device there. Go to the Windows search bar and type "audio", then in the list pick "Manage audio devices". Hey folks, this is how you fix the random crashing. This is probably what is causing the random crashing on console too, because you can manually set the sample rate on the PS4/Xbox1 and later. Windows must be set to use a 48000hz sample rate for Bioshock to work correctly. ![]()
